Inspiring Excellence

The Academy Preparatory School was founded in 2022 by a group of passionate educators who believed every child deserves a truly outstanding education — one that goes far beyond academic results to develop the whole person.

What began as a small school of 30 pupils has grown into one of Abuja's most respected independent primary schools, welcoming over 100+ children from EYFS through Year 6. Throughout our history we have remained true to our founding principles: that every child is unique, every family matters, and that learning should be joyful, ambitious and transformative.

Ms. Amina Fodio is a distinguished oil and gas lawyer and the founder of Tots Academy and The Academy Prep School Abuja (est. 2017). She is a trained and certified Educationist by the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She has built a learning environment defined by excellence, structure, and care, shaping the standard of early and primary education.
